John W. Higson was a professional rugby league footballer of the 1900s who at representative level played for Great Britain, and at club level for Hunslet, playing at Prop, or Hooker, i.e. number 8 or 10, or 9, during the era of contested scrums.
John Higson won caps for Great Britain while at Hunslet in 1908 against Australia, and in 1909 against Australia.[1]
